International Democracy Day Brussels is an annual Brussels-based event organised each September to mark the UN International Day of Democracy. For the past seven years, this event has been organised by a partnership of democracy organisations and think tanks, namely: European Network of Political Foundations (ENoP), European Endowment for Democracy (EED), the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD), International IDEA, and since 2020, Carnegie Europe. Each year, the event is led by one of the co-organisers.

Organisers agree on a theme each year and during Democracy Day, or Week, as it has become during the pandemic period, a series of events are held with speakers on this theme. Each organisation takes their own focus, reflecting their mission and activities. The event is usually opened by a high-level session.

International Democracy Day Brussels is targeted at stakeholders within the Brussels community, and sessions are well attended by members of the EU institutions, representatives from Member States, and the wider democracy community. Over the past eight years, it has become a fixture within the Brussels calendar.

This year, International Democracy Day Brussels is moderated by Shada Islam.
